Yes, exactly. High MP counts offer nothing to the web, which can't display high MP counts anyway! I posted some pix from my 6.1mp DSLR recently in Firearms--from my photo field trips?--and they were certainly not a step down from my 12mp Canon G9 I usually use for my handgun or action figure pix, I don't think. And like you said, sizing down for the web is to the lower MP count camera's advantage. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Thanks, Mark. Of course, just thinning the original down to 620 megapixels wide eliminates the advantage of those high mP count cameras, doesn't it? I get very reliable enlargement to 5X7" prints with my camera and have no need to go bigger. Stu |
