My camera-carrying gear was all bought when I was traveling a lot and doing most of my photography in and around boats. I have three Pelican-type hard cases in the largest size that used to permitted as carry-on luggage when flying. I needed something that would protect everything from being banged around, be waterproof and float - so I never bought a soft case. I do have a photographer's vest and the few times I have needed to wander around with my equipment I just stuck everything in the vest's padded pockets. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I don't like to hump weight either but these are well-designed and make carrying as easy as it can be. They have a waist strap/chest strap for stability that really works. |
