I don't miss a wider angle on the G9 since I now have a DSLR and 24W zoom--one of the good old Vivitar Series 1 lenses. I also have a straight 28mm lens. Of course those don't work out quite the same in what you see with a digital. I think my Sony Mavica might have been the same model as well, it sounds like it. I don't remember that much optical zoom but wow! Are you considering a DSLR at all? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I wish the G9 had a wider lens than 35 mm. I'd like to have a minimum of 28 mm effective. I have an old Sony diskette camera as well. If I recall, if you shot at the maximum resolution a diskette would only hold 2 images. MVC-FD91, Sony Mavica. It has a 14X optical zoom! |
