For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The keel fly/hook was popularized by a fellow named Dick Pobst who wrote "Fish the Impossible Places: The Story of the Keel Fly" in 1974. Here's a photo of the original Mustad keel hook, and they also made stainless sizes for saltwater:
