PIERRE -- Game, Fish and Parks officials are reminding sportsmen that deadlines for many big game applications are near.
Communications Manager Scott Carbonneau said applications must be postmarked on or before Friday, June 2, for Custer Park bighorn sheep, Black Hills bighorn sheep, mountain goat and resident East River archery antelope, and Friday, June 9 for archery paddlefish, Custer Park deer and muzzleloader deer.
He added that nonresident waterfowl applications are available and due on or before June 23.
Applications are available from license agents, most Game, Fish and Parks offices and the GFP website at www.state.sd.us/gfp.
