This year, everyone who applied for a bow permit through the mail-in lottery received either their first, second or third choice request. All applicants are expected to receive their permits by opening day, October 30. Those hunters who do NOT receive their bow permit by Thursday, October 28, are asked to call one of three Division regional offices on Friday or Saturday. Phone numbers are: Northern Region Office: 908-735-7040 Central Region Office: 609-259-2132 Southern Region Office: 856-629-0090 Please be advised that leftover bow permits will be sold on a "first-come, first-served" basis between 9 a.m. and 12 noon on Saturday, October 30, at the Division offices below. Hunters who did not take advantage of the mail-in lottery, as well as applicants who have already received a permit, will be able to purchase permits for any zone still available. Bow permits are available for the following zones: 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 33, 34, 35, 36, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 54, 55, 57, 58, 61, 63, 65 and 66. Please note that there are less than 30 bow permits available in zones 21, 33, 40, 47, 48, 55, 57, 58, 61, 65 and 20. Zones 57, 58 and 61 will be sold only at the Nacote Creek Office. Zone 50 has less than 10 permits and will be sold only at the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area office. There are less than 5 permits available in the following zones and they will be sold at the Division office closest to that zone. Zone 52 will be sold only at the Assunpink Office and Zone 54 will be sold only at the Northern Region Office. Muzzleloader permits for Zone 37 only will be sold at Assunpink on Saturday, October 30 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. There are less than 10 permits available. Following is a list of Division offices scheduled to sell permits: Pequest Trout Hatchery & Natural Resource Education Center Seven miles west of Hackettstown on Rt. 46 in Oxford, Warren County. Northern Region Office Exit 13 off Rt. 78W, on Highway 173 West in Hampton, Hunterdon County. Assunpink Wildlife Management Area (Central Region) Office Exit 11 off Rt. 195 (east or west), head north, make right at second stop sign and follow road to Assunpink WMA in Robbinsville, Monmouth County. Southern Region Office One mile south of Rt. 73 on New Brooklyn-Blue Anchor Road in Sicklerville, Camden County. Nacote Creek Research Station Two miles north of Smithville on Rt. 9 in Galloway Township, Atlantic County. All of the above offices will sell permits Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning Monday, November 1, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. In addition, unclaimed permits will also be sold on weekdays only between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Division^s main office at 501 E. State Street in Trenton. The Trenton office is not open on Saturday, October 30. Individuals with valid 1999 archery licenses may purchase unclaimed bow permits for $21.75 each. Cash or checks are acceptable. It is not necessary for a hunter to appear in person, however, the individual buying the permit must have the hunter^s license and the necessary fee. A hunter on-line is limited to purchasing permits for a total of three individuals. Photocopies will NOT be accepted.
