PIERRE -- The S.D. Game, Fish and Parks Commission has finalized rules for the 1999 youth waterfowl season. The one-day 1999 youth waterfowl season will be Sept. 25. The limit is five ducks with the same species restrictions as during the regular waterfowl season. The hen mallard limit has been increased from one to two, and the scaup limit is restricted to three. The Canada goose limit is three, an increase from last year^s limit of one. Youths must be properly licensed to hunt waterfowl, under 16 years of age and accompanied by an adult at least 18 years of age. All other hunting restrictions are the same as during the regular waterfowl season.
