The 15-inch size limit minimum for Lake Jocassee trout was omitted from the "1999-2000 Rules & Regulations" booklet, according to the S.C. Department of Natural Resources. To keep rainbow, brown or brook trout in Lake Jocassee, they must be 15 inches or longer, according to Val Nash, chief of freshwater fisheries for the S.C. Department of Natural Resources. The limit for trout on Lake Jocassee is five fish per angler per day. The use of corn, cheese, fish eggs or imitations of them as bait is prohibited on Lake Jocassee.
