Description: The day was smooth and some very fruitful glassing followed that last storm that pushed through Unit 27 in Arizona. I had glassed 18 does, four bucks and two lions. The lions were just up the canyon from where I ended up killing my buck. All the bucks were so far away that I could barely tell they were bucks with the 30X binoculars. There were two different pairs of bucks, and it took a couple of hours to get to the closest pair, a 2 point and a 3 point. I took the 3 point. My shooting was something I'd rather not discuss here but the deer was 490 yards across the canyon. Bottom line is I did kill the buck. I couldn't find the lions again, however.
