Hunting
Description: My hunt took place in Sonora, Mexico. I spotted this buck around 8:30 am feeding about 900 yards away, I bedded him down and stalked about 1 1/2 miles in a looping fashion to stay hidden and out of the wind. I couldnt see the buck after the first stalk, the hill was too steep to provide a view, so I backed off, went down and accross to gain some height and was then aware that the buck had gotten up and started feeding straight away from me, 200 yards away from his bed but now about 600 yards from me. I went back down and hiked up the backside of the mountain peak he was initially bedded on and gained the height adavantage above him, then spotted him feeding towards me and shot him.
The gross score is right around 101 2/8. I used a .257 Weatherby mag shooting 115 nosler ballistic tips. The scope is a Swarovski 6x18, the bino''s are Swarovski 10x42''s and 15x56''s. I use Jim Whites Velbon
Tripod/head.
