Description: I had just finished building a 10-wt. flyrod before leaving for New Orleans to visit my brother. He took me to his home water, and gave me a chance to field-test it. This 29" red was one of four taken one day using a spoonfly, WF floating line, and 20-lb fluorocarbon tippet (all sight-fishing). We saw several groups of fish in shallow water, crusing the shoreline of open bays, or feeding among weed beds in small canals.
